About me

My name is Delphine. I'm a French designer currently based in London, where I study Engineering and Architectural Design at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.

I am passionate about the intersection of architecture, art, engineering, and storytelling. My work explores how space can evoke emotion, memory, and sensory experience through experimentation with materiality, drawing, installation, graphics, and physical making. Rather than viewing architecture solely as the design of buildings, I see it as a medium for creating meaningful experiences.

Alongside my academic work, I pursue projects in art, graphic design, creative direction, photography, and visual research, believing that ideas are strengthened by working across disciplines. I am particularly interested in the balance between analytical thinking and artistic expression, combining technical precision with conceptual exploration.

Through my work, I aim to create architecture that is both rigorous and deeply human, where innovation is driven not only by performance, but also by culture, perception, and emotion.

The Meneghetti Olfactory reimagines perfume making as an architectural experience. Set within the Meneghetti estate in Veneto, the project combines fragrant landscapes with spaces for cultivation, extraction, experimentation, and composition.

Inspired by the legacy of the Italian spezzieri, it reveals the journey of perfume from plant to scent, transforming fragrance into a spatial and sensory experience.

Making Scents explores memory through the sense of smell. Inspired by my grandmother's perfume bottle collection, the project transforms personal memories into a spatial archive where scent becomes an architectural medium.

The foldable armature protects, displays, and transports the collection, reflecting the fragile and shifting nature of memory. Influenced by Murano glass and Venetian craftsmanship, it uses light, transparency, and reflection to evoke how recollection preserves and distorts the past. Positioned between traditional craft and emerging AI technologies that map scent and emotion, the project proposes architecture as a vessel for collecting sensations rather than objects.
Millfields InterNest
Second Year Project

Year Two Unit 1
MEng Engineering and Architectural Design

The Millfields InterNest is a co-living building designed to foster in-tergenerational living, where four students and four elders share a common home. Located in the North Millfeds Recreation Grounds, Hackney, London, the project integrates a public café area to enhance community interaction while offering residents both comfort and independence.
Symphony Of The Marshes
Second Year Project 1

Year Two Unit 1
MEng Engineering and Architectural Design

This project explores the relationship between nature, environmental sensing, and sound through a bespoke apparatus installed in Hackney Marshes' Filter Beds. Inspired by the responsive behaviour of flowers, it transforms environmental data into a dynamic soundscape.

Two plywood flower-like structures react to humidity and solar radiation, converting these measurements into changing frequencies emitted through gramophone-inspired petals. By translating invisible atmospheric conditions into sound, the project creates an immersive experience that connects design, engineering, and environmental perception.
